Turn 9:

Looks like my next turn overview will span the greatest length of in-game time yet. Just one more big school project to go, then I can focus on spending some time doing a write-up. So maybe late Friday/Saturday.

In. Judging from what I can see on the coast, some people may be about to receive an unpleasant surprise.

The one issue is the timezone delta - I'm in +10 GMT (Same timezone as sydney). and it;s daylight savings time.
No idea where you are, I don't mind getting up early or whatever, but some time sunday my time is best for me.

Oh dear. The legions of Arcoscephale have encountered a new neighbor. One who didn't contribute to Soulforger's "Save Christmas" gem trust. This might be interesting. It looks like I have 2 options here. One is to avenge the terrible holiday season by beginning an unspeakably violent crusade. The other is to try and arrange something diplomatic. And the in-game text messages don't support image attachments. Time to see whether there's an easy way to type links to Photobucket files. And possibly make a lower-resolution version of the world map to mark up in Paint so file sizes don't get too crazy.
------------
I should note that I have allied with Vanheim. I am very close to them, and to compensate for their incredibly weak start, I will attack anyone who declares war on them in the near future. Giving up that delicious Earth income is almost enough to bring tears to Soulforger's eyes, but Arco law clearly stipulates that taking them down now would violate the don't-be-a-jerk part of our foreign policy.

Cthullu, why do you not have any research?
Seriously, what the hell?
Also, sent.

That's not a good enough reason to not have any. I'd expect him to lag behind somewhat, but some of them should be earmarked for research.

Personally, I always feel tempted to just rush for Enchantment and skele-spam for my early expansion. I almost never reanimate with my mages as MA Ermor. In the few times I played LA Ermor, I liked the fact that I needed priests and my best ones weren't mages at all. Less conflict there, and I don't always think that I might have missed some golden opportunity where more RP or tiny men might have improved things.
The key is to take an awake great sage, and then use maybe two of your arch-theurges for research in the first year, you want skellispam (enchant 3), communions (thraum 1), remote death searching (conj 2), and skull mentors (const 4). After that you should be able to make your research asplode through forging 2-3 skull mentors a turn for about 10 turns. Get evocation 7 and construction and conjuration of whatever. Spam skeletons and Nether Darts, get Tartarians, win game.
As an aside, I'm always so tempted by a drain dominion when I think about playing ermor.

I'm waiting for my castles to come online, then I can use regular theurgs.name_here wrote:That's not a good enough reason to not have any. I'd expect him to lag behind somewhat, but some of them should be earmarked for research.
Edit: However, I know so much more about the game now that I did when I made my pretender, so I'd do it differently.
